    How do I make a booking?

    You can book flights online at jetxtra.com or you can telephone us on 0333 577 5133 (calls cost no more than 5p per minute from a BT landline, mobile charges may vary)

    All flight bookings are made with SPORTING EVENTS GLOBAL LIMITED trading as jetxtra.com.

    Am I financially protected through ATOL?

    Yes, jetxtra.com are part of Sporting Events Global Limited (ATOL number 5772), a multi-million pound operation that has been established for over a decade in the travel industry, as such customers can have full confidence in their booking and peace of mind that money is safe. With ATOL protection if the company was to cease trading, passengers booked would receive a full refund and any passengers abroad at the time would have alternative flights home arranged for them.

    How do I get the cheapest fares?

    The best advice is to book your tickets early, seats are sold on a first come, first served basis and our cheapest fares are available for those booking in advance, fares usually increase as more seats are sold.

    What are your extra charges and taxes?

    Unlike other companies, all our fares are transparent and are inclusive of taxes, a baggage allowance, plus free payment methods! The only additional charges we make are for extra services or products.

    The taxes per person included in our fares are:

    UK Air Passenger Duty – £13 (For flights departing the UK)
    Airport Taxes – £10
    Below is the list of applicable fees for any extra services or products required:

    **Scuba tanks need to be empty with valves open.
    ***Bicycles must be wrapped in stiff cardboard with the pedals off, front wheel removed and the handlebars turned inline with the frame. Tyres must also be deflated.

    How do I pay for my flight?

    We accept payment via debit or credit card. Unlike other companies, we do not charge card or admin fees to pay. You will be transferred to our payment server and can select to pay via a credit or debit card. Payment is completely secure and is protected by the most up to date internet security.

    We understand not everybody is comfortable paying with cards online so we also allow passengers to pay via cheque, if you wish to do this please call us to make your booking and we will be happy to help.

    Do you accept group bookings?

    If you are planning to book for over 15 people, please call us and we will be happy to help you.

    CHILDREN, INFANTS AND ANIMALS

    What do you class as a child and infant?

    Children are considered to be anybody between 2 and 15 years of age. Infants are those aged between 14 days and the day before their 2nd birthday.

    Due to medical reasons we do not accept any infants younger than 14 days old.

    What are the ticket costs for children and infants?

    Child tickets are the same price as an adults, any infants are charged a standard fee of £20 per one-way flight and must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. If an infant turns 2 years old before the return flight, a seat will need to purchased for the return journey.

    Can children travel unaccompanied?

    Unfortunately we cannot accept children under 16 years of age unaccompanied. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by somebody 16 years or over. Any booking made for a person under 18 years of age travelling unaccompanied must be made by somebody 18 years or over who has authority to accept the terms & conditions on their behalf. Written consent will also need to be given by their parent or guardian to travel. Spanish children under 18 will require an authorisation form from their local police station to travel unaccompanied.

    Can our pet come with us?

    Unfortunately we are unable to transport animals at the current time.

    CHANGES TO BOOKINGS

    Can I make a change to my booking?

    You can make changes to bookings upto 24 hour prior to departure, subject to availability.

    In the event you need to change a flight you can do subject to a fee of £50 per passenger per one-way flight, (£100 per return flight) plus any difference between the original fare paid and the new flights requested. Please note no refund will be given if the new fare is less than the original.

    You can change the name of the person travelling subject to a fee of £50 per passenger per one-way flight. Simple name corrections for spelling errors can be made free of charge.     Can I cancel my flight?

    Yes you can cancel a flight by calling us on 03335665133 (calls cost no more than 5p per minute from a BT landline, mobile charges may vary) . Please be aware that flights are none refundable, however Government taxes can be refunded, refunds are subject to a £5 per passenger administration fee.

    What happens if you change my flight or cancel it?

    Occasionally flight times may change, changes to flights are only ever made when unavoidable. Should this happen, we will try to give you as much notice as possible. You should check the jetxtra.com website at least 48 hours prior to departure to ensure there have been no flight time changes.

    If any flights are cancelled, we will endeavour to inform you with plenty of notice to arrange alternative flights or offer a refund (refunds will include the fare, taxes and any optional extras selected, refunds will be processed within 28 days of cancellation).

    BAGGAGE

    Do I have to pay extra to take a bag?

    We do not charge you any extra to take a bag! We include a free checked and cabin baggage allowance with your flight. You are not restricted to one bag in the cabin either! You are welcome to bring onboard a carrier bag with any airport purchases too!

    What is my baggage allowance?

    As standard, we give every passenger a 20kg checked baggage and 7kg cabin baggage allowance, cabin baggage must not be larger than 50cm x 40cm x 20cm. Passengers have the opportunity to increase their checked baggage allowance to 20kg subject to an additional fee when booking.

    Baggage will be weighed at the airport, cabin baggage over the assigned weight or size will need to checked in, which will be subject to a £40 fee if it’s a second checked bag. Any excess may also be subject to a £40 fee.

    Please note that infants are not entitled to any baggage.

    What are the baggage restrictions?

    Restrictions are in place on liquids and any liquids placed into cabin baggage must meet the following requirements:

    The liquid is in a container with a maximum volume of 100 ml

    All liquid containers meeting the maximum volume of 100ml can be fitted comfortably into a transparent, re-sealable 1 litre plastic bag.

    The above restrictions do not effect liquids being carried in checked baggage.

    The Department for Transport has put restrictions on the transport of ink cartridges, any ink or toner cartridge weighting more than 500g is not allowed.

    The following dangerous articles are not permitted in baggage whether cabin or checked baggage:

    Compressed gas and ignitable devices

    Flammable liquids
    Poisons
    Radioactive material
    Bleach
    Firearms and explosives
    Matches and lighters
    Infectious substances
    Acids

    In addition the following articles are prohibited from being carried either on the person or in cabin baggage:

    Toy or replica guns (plastic or metal), catapults, household cutlery, knives with blades of any length, paper knives, razor blades, trades mans tools, darts, scissors, tweezers, hypodermic syringes (unless medical reason), knitting needles, sporting bats, billiard, snooker or pool cues, this list is by no means exhaustive.

    CHECK-IN AND SECURITY

    What time does check-in open and close?

    Check-in desks will open 2 hours before the scheduled departure time and will close promptly 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. All passengers should present themselves at the appropriately marked jetxtra.com check-in desks within plenty of time. To ensure there are no delays passengers arriving after the desks have closed will not be accepted for travel so please arrive early.

    Please check the check-in screens for your destination and flight number which will display the appropriate check-in desk number for your flight.

    After receiving your boarding card, please proceed immediately to the departure lounge via the security search area. Please note all passengers will be subject to security screening, refusal will result in you not being allowed to travel.

    We recommend passengers arrive 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.

    What documents do I need?

    jetxtra.com operates a ticketless service, a confirmation e-mail is the only document supplied, passengers should print the confirmation e-mail and present it at check-in.

    In order to comply with immigration rules, passengers need to present at check-in a valid passport or Government issued national identity card and any necessary visas. The name on your booking must match the name on your identification. Please note that if your passport is damaged in any way it may not be accepted, if in doubt please call jetxtra.com in advance to avoid disappointment.

    What time should I be at the boarding gate?

    You should be at the boarding gate no later than 35 minutes before the departure time to ensure no delays are caused to the flight. Please check the airport screens to see which gate your flight is departing from and the estimated departure time.

    ASSISTANCE AND MEDICAL

    I need assistance at the airport, what should I do?

    If you require assistance, e.g. use of a wheelchair, please ensure you select the assistance box when booking online or inform us on the phone at the time of booking. We would ask that if your requirement is substantial that you please contact us in advance so we can obtain your needs and ensure they are met at the airport.

    I’m pregnant, what are your restrictions?

    Congratulations! Pregnant passengers can fly up to 27 weeks without a medical certificate, after this period a medical certificate issued by a doctor or midwife is required. Travel is not permitted after week 36.

    I’ve got a medical condition what should I do?

    Passengers with any medical conditions who require any assistance are asked to contact us in advance so we can meet your needs. Please call 0333 577 5133 (calls cost no more than 5p per minute from a BT landline, mobile charges may vary).

    I’ve got an illness, can I still fly?

    Passengers suffering from severe infectious diseases are not permitted to travel.
    Minor infectious diseases will require a medical note from a GP confirming fit to fly. The below guidelines explain when a passenger is considered fit to fly:

    Rubella: passengers can be accepted for travel 4 days after the appearance of the rash.
    Measles: passengers can be accepted for travel 7 days after the appearance of the rash.
    Mumps: passengers can be accepted for travel when all swelling has subsided. This is usually after 7 days however it can take up to 14 days.
    Chicken pox: passengers can be accepted for travel 7 days after the appearance of the last new spot.
    Passengers suffering from viral infections such as influenza should avoid travelling until symptoms have passed.
    Asthma sufferers are able to carry inhalers and/or nebulisers provided that these do not contain oxygen cylinders. Passengers suffering from severe asthma will require a note from their GP confirming they are fit to fly.

    I suffer from a nut allergy, do you have nuts onboard?

    Passengers that suffer from peanut allergies should advise the cabin crew when boarding so they can prevent selling them, however we cannot guarantee peanuts will not be onboard.

    INFLIGHT

    What aircraft do you use?

    jetxtra.com flights are operated by Embraer aircraft , the aircraft seat 76-98 passengers in all leather seating with spacious 30-34″ seat pitch. Our charter flights are operated by BA CityFlyer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Airways. The Embraer is the latest twin engine jet aircraft from aircraft manufacturer Embrear and is able to comfortably operate to short haul destinations. Aircraft types are subject to change and are not guaranteed.

    What is your seating policy?

    Our charter flights have seating assigned at check-in on a first-come, first-served basis. This will generally allow families and groups to be seated together. However we also give the opportunity when booking to purchase extra leg-room seats which offer extra comfort during the flight. Extra legroom seats are only available to passengers over 12 years of age.

    Can I buy food and drink onboard?

    Our Sky Cafe menu is available to purchase on all flights. We offer tasty meal deals including hot baguettes, toasties or pizza with cold snacks such as sandwiches, tapas and chocolates. A full alcoholic bar is available to passengers aged 18+. Euros, sterling and major credit cards are accepted onboard. Items available shall vary depending on time of day.

    Do you have any in-flight entertainment?

    Our aircraft do not offer in-flight entertainment. Passengers are welcome to use small personal electronic devices onboard as directed by the Cabin Crew.

    Do you offer Duty Free onboard?

    Yes, on most flights we offer a selection of perfumes, chocolates and gifts at great prices onboard.

    WEBSITE TROUBLESHOOTING

    Booking engine not working?

    If you are having problems with your browser, such as the booking engine date calendar not appearing or being unable to progress past a page.

    Please try the following steps to resolve it.

    1. Ensure your browser to is set to ‘maximise’ so it displays fully on your screen, the calendar selector may appear in different locations if the page is minimized or reduced.
    2. Clear your browser ‘cache’, this can be done in internet options where your history and cookies are stored. Once cleared, try using the website again.
    3. Try using a different browser, i.e. if you are using Internet Explorer, try using Firefox or Google Chrome.

    If problems persist, please contact us either via e-mail or telephone and we’ll be happy to provide fare information and take bookings.

    Web pages not loading?

    If a web page is not loading properly, it could be a temporary server fault or being updated. If the webpage isn’t working after a couple of hours, please contact us to let us know on 0333 577 5133
